juliehedwJulie K. Byrd-Jenkins is a photojournalist, designer and editor in New Hampshire who will soon be relocating to her hometown – Nashville, Tenn. Her current post is night editor at the Concord Monitor, where she has also been a copy editor, designer and photographer. Julie is available for freelance editorial photography and commercial work, as well as wedding photojournalism and portraits.

Before working in New Hampshire, Julie was the design and copy editor and a photographer for The News-Review in Roseburg, Ore. Originally from Nashville, Tenn., she received a Bachelor of Arts in photojournalism and Spanish from Western Kentucky University. Julie has experience in photojournalism, page design, graphic design, reporting, copy editing and management, as well as commercial, portrait and wedding photography. She previously was an intern photographer at the Madison Courier in Indiana and was a staff member of the College Heights Herald newspaper at WKU. At WKU, she spent six years as a writer, photographer and editor-in-chief for the Talisman yearbook, a journalism-based publication. Her work has appeared in The Madison Courier (Madison, Ind.), The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Ky.), The Ft. Campbell Courier (Ft. Campbell, Ky.), The News-Review (Roseburg, Ore.), The Bend Bulletin (Bend, Ore.), The Register-Guard (Eugene, Ore.) and the Concord Monitor (Concord, N.H.).
